Tasty Tuesday!

Ok, folks. This time around I have decided to give you two pictures of lusciousness. The first because I can't seem to get his haunting gaze out of my mind. I could have not seen his picture for hours, or even days, but I can still see him in my minds eye. Haunting. And due to my current fascination with the bad boy image he portrays as Damon Salvatore, I can't help but be a bit in lust with him. *grin* So without further ado, may I present, the very lickable, Ian Somerhalder...

Even though, in my opinion, TT would be complete with Ian, I still feel the need to give into my naughty side and give you a bit-o-skin. *saucy grin* So here you go...

*Hangs Head In Shame*

Well, my days as a house/dog sitter have officially come to an end for this time around. My house host's had a long vacation, but are glad to be back home. I'm not sure I can say the same for myself. *grin* It's been soooo nice having independence and responsibility for myself alone. Oh, yeah. And for the devil demon psycho dog. Can't forget her. *grin* Despite her dubbed nickname, I do miss that ball-o-crazy. She was always so excited to see me when I would come home from work! She had her moments where she would absolutely drive me mad, but she's a sweetheart to the core. On the positive side, however, I can say that I am glad to be sleeping in my bed tonight. And to be surrounded by my things. It's quite comforting. *sigh* Plus, my Oscar baby is at home. I stopped by a couple times while away and he greeted me at the front door meowing away. <3's! He makes me smile. =)

Well, just call me slacker. I am quite embarrassed to say that I have been very neglectful in my reading over the past four days. I have allowed myself to become distracted by shiny and sparkly's. That's a bad guynnie! Bad! After having read Wild Card, by Lora Leigh, I have been waiting and waiting for Killer Secrets to become available at my library. And now that I have it? It's barely been cracked. Granted, I have been working some longer than normal hours, but at the same time, I still haven't been going to bed till well after midnight every night. So, what have I been doing? Chatting on fb. *hangs head in shame* And while doing so, I can hear a dear nut of mine yelling at me to get my ass in gear and pick up my book, while giving me the 'mom face'. Sorry, Michelle. I don't mean to be so distracted, but it's just so shiny!!! *grin*

So, with that in mind...I'm gonna go read. Don't want to get the 'mom face' again. It scares the hell outta me. *shivers*

Jeaniene Frost - Destined For An Early Grave
I gave him an incredulous glance down at his finger, still pressed into my chest. "Get that off of me or I'll knock it off."
His brow arched in open dare. "Take your best shot, luv."

What A Day It's Been!

As I reflect on the day that is now done, I can't seem to find much wrong with it. In fact it was pretty friggin' awesome. *grin* I was surprised by 3 individuals at work and a stream of awesomeness. The first happened to be a customer and also the grandfather of my most recent ex-boyfriend [10.5 years in the past]. The only one who actually broke up with me and in turn completely shattered my heart. *tear* God! What a catch he was. We talked for a bit before he moseyed on his way. A bit later, I checked my cell for any fb updates and noticed that I had a missed text from my fellow Book Nut, Michelle. I tried to answer her question, but apparently it didn't come through well enough, so, damn. Had to give her a call. Whoohoo! lol Then, ma girl dropped in to say 'hey' and leave me with my Jeaniene Frost's that she just finished reading. Not an hour later did an old high school buddy walk in claiming he was there for a social visit. *shakes head* Crazy. Later as I had to stop at WalMart for cupcake makings for a going away tomorrow, I somehow ended up with the first spot next to the handicap space in the row directly in front of the doors. AND only had 1 customer in front of me in line. WTF??? That NEVER happens. As I was working on said cupcakes, my "aunt" called. While we chatted, I was informed that if Christmas was going to be in So. Cal this year, I WOULD be there. Since I won't be able to take any real time off to drive, she and my grandma are buying me a ticket as my gift. *tear* As much as I would much rather have a b&n or borders gift card or would love the assistance with purchasing new tires for my car, I can't imagine not spending the holidays with my whole family. And if that means that all I'm getting is a plane ticket? That's fine by me. =) On top of all that, I finished preping dinner for tomorrow night that I have to drop off at my standing Thursday night Vampire Diaries date's house on the way into work *grin* and managed to get in over 100 pages read on Kiss Of Midnight! That book is so friggin' good, and I just keep getting distracted away from it! Gah! Almost done...

So, like I said. It's been a pretty friggin' awesome day! No complaints coming from my way, that's for sure.

Tasty Tuesday!

In trying to figure out which slice of deliciousness I wanted to include in this maiden Tasty Tuesday launch, I was having a hard time deciding between a risqué or not so risqué choice. The two I was considering are both excellent specimens of a beautiful male, and I love them equally, but differently. Then I thought, what the hell. Might as well make it a launch worth noting! Risqué it is! And no, really...You're welcome. *saucy grin*

Gots Ta Get Me Some!

So, in fussing around on facebook, I happened to notice an ad for a new series called The Shadow Keepers by J.K. Beck (aka Julie Kenner: The Blood Lily Chronicles). The cover definitely caught my eye, but I don’t usually click on those links, so I moseyed on over to bn.com to look into it a bit. One of the first things I do when checking out a new possibility, is to look at the ‘Customers who bought this also bought’ recommendations. Between the three books, this series included Nalini Singh, Jennifer Ashley, Lora Leigh, Gena Showalter, Lara Adrian, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kresley Cole. Um, WOW! I instantly went to jkbeck.com to learn what I could and *grin* not only are some of these incredible authors listed as recommendations, but they provided praise for this series! Needless to say, it is getting added to my To Be Read list. =D
In When Blood Calls, the explosive first entry in the new Shadow Keepers series, J.K. Beck expertly blends pulse-pounding romantic suspense with an evocative and original paranormal world. The result is a red-hot page-turner. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Kresley Cole, New York Times bestselling author

Not What I Expected

Being Friday, I spent the majority of the day at a friends house. I am currently house/dog sitting and someone was suppose to be coming over every day to take her for a long walk, but I don't think that's been happening. Niko has been restless, to say the least. So, I thought I'd take her along. Boy is she a smart cookie. *grin* Not knowing how long I was gonna be gone, I decided to cover my bases and pack up some dinner for her. No clue how, but she KNEW she was getting ready to go somewhere, and she went into psycho-dog mode. lol Man does she like car rides...So much to see! Wait! What about out of this window? No...The other one has a better view. Nope, the other side is better. No, I was wrong again. This side is MUCH better. LOL <3 it! She was so happy on the way over, I couldn't help but smile!

My friend's dog, Shaggy, recently lost his playmate and he and Niko hit it off as instant friends! They played and played and played some more! They were having the grand 'ole time. =) I don't think either of them has gotten a chance to go nuts-o like that in a long while. The two year old of the house decided he was going to do the whole chase-the-dogs-around-the-house bit and the two new bff's ended up on the couch to escape the 3' terror. By the end of the evening, they were pooped pooches. They were snuggled down next to each other forgetting the world around them. When Niko and I finally made it home, she was done. She laid down next to me and was out. We might just have to do this again next week. *grin*

Even though today didn't turn out as a normal Friday typically does for me, I had a good time. Sometimes it's the little unexpected things that make things great. I got about 3/4 of the first chapter read in Kiss of Midnight and though I'm disappointed that I didn't make the time to read today, I'm not regretting the decisions I made. Tomorrow is a new day and, God willing, I'm gonna sit my ass down and forget the world while I delve into, what I'm told, an awesome series. *grin*

Kiss of Midnight - Lara Adrian
"Oh, my God," she gasped, incredulous.
"Uh-huh. Tres cool, girlfriend. Pretty soon you're gonna be too good for small-time art peddlers like me," he joked, grinning with shared excitement for her.
It was hard not to be intrigued, especially given everything she had been through the past few days. ...

Where did the day go?

So, last night I finally finished reading Crave, book two in the Fallen Angels series by J.R. Ward, and OMG is it March yet?? I can't express to you how much I love her writing. I'm sure there are others out there that have similar writing styles, but I haven't had the pleasure as of yet. Between the way she spins her tale, the perfect lines for each characters personality, the growing passion between the focal couple, the progression of the danger and the conclusion from the outcome. Couldn't ask for more. If you haven't read her Fallen Angels or her Black Dagger Brotherhood series as of yet, please give them a shot. I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds- barred battle between a fallen angel with a hardened heart and a demon with everything to lose.

Isaac Rothe is a black ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her can only lead to trouble-and that's before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil.

When I got up this morning, I was planning on starting Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian after I spent a few minutes refining a few things on my blog. Not until I got a tweet at 1:30pm from someone stating that they had yet to eat today, did I realize how long I had NOT been reading. lol I was on a roll! What can I say. *shrug* Things were finally flowing and I didn't want to stop, so I kept at it. When the dog kept coming in and bugging me, did I look up and realize it was then 5:30pm. Well, duh. She was hungry. *snort* So I hurriedly finished what I was doing, shut down the laptop, fed the dog and ran out the door. It's Thursday night, and I have a standing date with a friend for dinner and The Vampire Diaries. *grin* Had to hit the store on the way to her house and it was pushing 6:40pm when I got in my car. Diner was good, but The Vampire Diaries was a friggin' rerun. *glares* Oh, well.

So, my day didn't go as planned, but was good none the less. Now, as 11:00pm approaches, I think I'll snuggle down with my book and get down to business.

Under Construction

Thanks for checking my blog out, but it's still in it's very early stages of construction. Stay tuned! :)
