Companion Vampires by Susan Squires Review

Companion Vampires -Susan Squires~V^^^V

I started and put off this series for a long time, as it is a Historical Vampire Romance. I am NOT a historical romance fan as I have expressed previously but I love all things vampire so I gave this a shot. Companion Vampires while set in the 1800 mostly is a really interesting series. I found the story lines sucking me in and the chemistry between the main characters was fabulous. There is a good amount of suspense, mystery, antagonism and sex; don’t forget the sex. I do recommend this series and highly for those who enjoy Historical.

In celebration of my Birthday...I have decided to fore-go the 'nearest book' requirement and instead grabbed the first in one of my all time favorite series. :) If you haven't tried them, yet, I highly recommend them! You'll laugh, cry, go WTF? and everything in between.

Deeper Than Midnight Sneak Peak

DEEPER THAN MIDNIGHT

Deeper Than Midnight is available for pre-order and will be released in the US on June 28, 2011!

As your first preview, here is a look at the back cover story summary. Hope you enjoy it!

(SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't yet read Taken By Midnight, you may want to skip this section.)

Delivered from the darkness, a woman finds herself plunged into a passion that is Deeper Than Midnight.

At eighteen, Corinne Bishop was a beautiful, spirited young woman living a life of privilege as the adopted daughter of a wealthy family. Her world changed in an instant when she was stolen away and held prisoner by the malevolent vampire Dragos. After many years of captivity and torment, Corinne is rescued by the Order, a cadre of vampire warriors embroiled in a war against Dragos and his followers. Her innocence taken, Corinne has lost a piece of her heart as well--the one thing that gave her hope during her imprisonment, and the only thing that matters to her now that she is free.

Assigned to safeguard Corinne on her trip home is a formidable golden-eyed Breed male called Hunter. Once Dragos's most deadly assassin, Hunter now works for the Order, and he's hell-bent on making Dragos pay for his manifold sins. Bonded to Corinne by their mutual desire, Hunter will have to decide how far he'll go to end Drago's reign of evil--even if carrying out his mission means shattering Corinne's tender heart.

This plot summary only covers the tip of the iceberg in terms of everything that happens in Deeper Than Midnight. Prepare for plenty of twists and turns and OMG moments in the world of the Midnight Breed!

2 more Erotic series reviews by R.G. Alexander

Temptation Unveiled by R.G. Alexander~ V^^^V

All manner of creatures of myth and legend live amongst us but use glamor to hide in plain sight. The guardians are meant to protect the seer and keep an ancient evil at bay. Temptation Unveiled series is another erotic tale by R.G. Alexander, there is plenty of kink with a fairly entertaining plot.

2 Titles Total

Children of the Goddess by R.G. Alexander~ V^^^V

An erotic take on the standard Vampires, Werewolves and Magic oh my. Children of the Goddess has all the usual paranormal creatures but in a much more compromising position. This series has an ongoing plot, repeat characters and constant introduction to new faces. This is not your standard erotic romance there is straight, gay and bisexual encounters so be warned.

Halle Shifters by Dana Marie Bell~ V^^^^V

I am calling this a romantic series with a dash of erotica. Dana Marie Bell’s writing is mainly in the erotic genera but I thought this was more romance than anything else. Halle Shifters starts out with the story of the classic “wallflower” and her crush on the hunky guy. This is a contemporary series about mainly the Halle Puma shape shifters with later stories of other shifters. I really enjoyed these and highly recommend them.

6 books to date with 4 Short Stories

A Storm For All Seasons by Jaci Burton

A Storm For All Seasons~ V^^^^^V

The Storm family of New Orleans Louisiana has magic. Angelina and Galen Storm have four children who have the power of each of the seasons within them. This series follows the four Storm children as they search for their “destiny” and fall hopelessly in love. I really enjoyed these books, while Burton isn’t that great at writing, paranormal in my opinion, she does a great job with this one. The majority of the writing is based in modern New Orleans reality; the magic is sort of just an after thought that adds to the mystic of falling madly in love. That said I found the second book too far into the paranormal realm for me as it combines Burton’s Delvin Werewolves, of which I am not a fan, and Storm family series together. That said A Storm for All Seasons has classic Jaci Burton erotic passion and is a wonderful story.

Hungry For You; Argeneau #14 by Lynsay Sands

I absolutely LOVED this book. It seems to me that Ageneau just keeps getting better and better. Hungry For You, didn't have the usual immortal pressuring the mortal into a relationship it was a nice slow build up and a classic romantic falling in love story. HIGHLY recommend this one. V^^^^^V

Jays dwell here and sunbeams too.

Ferns grow here and daisies too.
