Dark Taste of Rapture

Dark Taste of Rapture (Alien Huntress, #6)Dark Taste of Rapture by Gena Showalter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved it! I got a little teary eyed, OK TRUTH.. I was weeping during Ava's wedding. Well before, during and after. How can you not? Noelle, loved her friend so much it was heart breaking. Ok now that is out in the open I can honestly say this book had me both laughing and crying. The story was fabulous, the characters were awesome and really my only complaint it that Men (Hector Dean) can be so thick at times that you just want to kick them in the ass. LOL Can't wait to see what this series brings next.

Dallas Deleted Scene from Dark Taste of Rapture (Alien Huntress, #6.1)Dallas Deleted Scene from Dark Taste of Rapture by Gena Showalter

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I liked this because I didn't understand where the reference to sleeping with Noelle "destroying" him came from. That bothered me throughout the book but now I feel up to speed.

Ecstasy in Darkness (Alien Huntress, #5)Ecstasy in Darkness by Gena Showalter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This series just keeps getting more and more addictive. The first one, as I have said in the past, was dull but since then the series has taken leaps in excitement. I really wasn't sure I would care for this book. Honestly McKell seemed boring to me; but Boy was I wrong. Ava and Noelle crack me up and I have literally no idea how McKell could stand it. Great book!

Blacklisted -Gena Showalter

Blacklisted (Young Adult Alien Huntress, #2)Blacklisted by Gena Showalter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this one more than the first in this two book Teen Paranormal Series. Most likely because this one is a little more romance and a little less Paranormal... ??? I am not really sure. I can tell you had a tough time putting this one down and given that it is a Teen Fiction that is saying something. Highly recommend.

Red Handed -Gena Showalter

Red Handed (Young Adult Alien Huntress, #1)Red Handed by Gena Showalter

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It was good. I am not a huge fan of Teen Fiction so you really have to be outstanding for my interest to be peaked. That said I did like the glimpse into the recruiting and training of AIR members. The characters and story line were interesting and the scenario was reasonable. I do recommend this series to Young Adult Paranormal fans.

Lawe's Justice -Lora Leigh

Lawe's Justice (Breeds, #26)Lawe's Justice by Lora Leigh

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It was okay. To be honest with you though I think I am worn out on this series. I know the drill and feel like I am almost just rereading the same story over and over again. Now I know that the overall plot is thickening but I just feel like it is going too slowly and I am getting bored waiting to find out what will happen with baby Amber. The female characters in this series also tend to be too head strong and the men too demanding. I REALLY loved this series to start but the longer it goes the less interested I become.

Guardian by Sherrilyn Kenyon

The Guardian (Dark-Hunter, #21; Dream-Hunter, #5)The Guardian by Sherrilyn Kenyon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As always I loved this book. Sherrilyn seems to have greatly improved her Dream Hunter stories and this one combined the Were Hunters as well. I always enjoy a little Ancient Egyptian history mix so that only made the story more enjoyable to me. This one was a little on the shorter side but I think I liked that too. Overall a good story.

Monday Spotlight

B.A.D. by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Diana Love

Oh what to say, what to say. When I read the first book in this series I was rolling my eyes the whole time but yet I kept going. LOL There are some series parts but mostly this action romance is fairly light hearted and silly. There aren't too many titles and the stories aren't too long. Heck why not have some post holiday fun.

Reading Order:

Born to be BAD
Phantom in the Night

Whispered Lies
BAD Attitude

Silent Truth

Playing Easy to Get

Deadly Promises

B.A.D. by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Diana Love ~ V^^^V
Bureau of American Defense series is action filled but also light. Intense stories but short enough that you are not exhausted. Basically B.A.D. doesn’t take itself too seriously. The series is based in Contemporary USA, but does travel abroad, fighting terrorists on all fronts. This is another series that is best read in order, the story progresses and the books foreshadow the next. Intense battles and high sexual tension factor in to a great read.

Alien Huntress #4 Review

Seduce the Darkness (Alien Huntress, #4)Seduce the Darkness by Gena Showalter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this one. Initially I thought I would have no interest in McKell's story but Ava definitely sold it for me. I found her personality really intriguing and the banter between her and Noelle, while most days is completely childish, made the story a little more light-hearted. I still find the Mia character's personality grating but at this point she isn't in the stories as much so that helps. The only thing that I found lacking in this book was the editing. There seemed to be quite a few spelling and grammatical errors but I managed to plow through. ;-) On to Dark Taste of Rapture, I can't believe I am almost finished with this series already.

T-Flac by Cherry Adair

Drawing hearts around this series. I just adore these. I will grant you that once she started getting into the paranormal aspect I wasn't liking it as much but after a couple books she seemed to get her groove on it and I was back to really enjoying them again. So for your really long reading order list, the best I can come up with is below. No mind you she has just started another series, which though I intend to read, I have as of yet not gotten a chance to. I am sure it will be wonderful as well.

Reading Order:
Seducing Mr. Right
The Mercenary

Kiss and Tell

Hide and Seek

In Too Deep
Out of Sight

On Thin Ice

Playing For Keeps
Hot Ice

Snowball’s Chance

Edge of Danger

Edge of Fear

Edge of Darkness
White Heat

Tropical Heat
Night Fall
Night Secrets
Night Shadow
Temptation on Ice
Black Magic

Dangerous Magic (TBA)

TFLAC by Cherry Adair ~ V^^^^V
A secret anti-terrorist organization not affiliated with any one government in particular, they work for the good of the world as a whole. Cherry Adair’s TFLAC series is non stop action with intense scenarios and explosive sexual chemistry. Most of the TFLAC books are broken out into smaller chunks, ie: the Edge Trilogy. The early books are your standard action, while in the later works, Cherry brings in a “magical” element. I have to say the first few were not really working for me in the Wizards end, but after awhile, I think she found her groove again. Stick with them. TFLAC is HOT.
Book 22: Dangerous Magic (TBA)

Savor Me Slowly by Gena Showalter ~Reviewed

Savor Me Slowly (Alien Huntress, #3)Savor Me Slowly by Gena Showalter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

LOVED IT! This series just keeps getting better and better. I was reminded of why I disliked the first book though. It seems that I just don't care for the Mia character at all. As this one brought in some of the characters from the previous books I found that my feelings of dislike have not changed any. Other than that I just loved this book. It was one I had a hard time putting down. Onward and upward with this series, I am taking a mini break to read the 2 Teen books related to this series and then I will be back at it.
