This story was pretty straight forward. The romance was just that, boy and girl know each other, fight the pull and eventually come together. It was pretty Blah. I know a lot of people were anticipating this one, I was not. Neither character did much for me. I had noticed in the previous book as in this one, Aiken is taking this to a fantasy genre, less romance. The end result is a good story but not a good romance. Overall the book was OK, not great and not awful. ~Michelle

I read two of the stories in this Anthology. 

The first "Where Angels Fear to Tread" by Sherrilyn Kenyon, says "Dark Hunter World" but I really didn't think it was related. I also didn't recognize it as any other SK series I read. However despite the shortness of the story it was still quite interesting and had all the usual things that hook me into one of Sherrilyn's stories. 


The Ungrateful Dead by Kelley Armstrong was a Women of the Otherworld novella. Necromancer Jaime has a run in with a truly awful ghost. When calling in help to banish him, Savannah comes to "help". It was an amusing story and some what frustrating. I can see what Jaime means when she says the "dead can be way too needy". ~Michelle

Kitty's adventure to London was basically what I expected. Kitty finds trouble, or does trouble find her?" Either way she uses her usual method of talking her way around it. She meets some new allies, and old friends. She finds new enemies and in the end gets a little preachy. I feel like Cormac really has no place in the series and should just be dropped, and for the most part we don't need so much Ben detail either as he is merely a side character, really. I liked that Vaughn is embracing the coming out issue and not just skipping past it as so many other series do. ~Michelle

REALLY LONG READING HIATUS!

Got caught up with a whole lot of reading and mainly just series. I was hesitant to post every review of every book in the series I was doing so I wanted to hold out until I was done or dang near. That said I think I am about ready to put some reviews up of Shelly Laurenston books. Soon enough I will do the Song of Fire and Ice Series by George R.R. Martin which I have only two books left to complete. I also am currently working my way through Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong. I have to say that all of these series are high star ratings from me. Please stay tunes I promise I won't leave you all hanging for months again. In the meantime I have a few New Releases that I have read and reviewed as well as this month's Reading Challenge, October Ops, I will put all my reviews up there for inspection as well. This is one of my favorite picks for a monthly group read.
