I don't even know where to begin. This series has not ONLY delicious heros, amazing heriones, and fantastic action it also has intense Lora Leigh classic love scenes. This books are STEAMING hot. If you are familar with Lora Leigh's Breeds, her Nauti boys or her Tempting SEALs then you will love these. Elite Ops is a continuence of her SEALs series, you will recognize some of the characters from previous series and meet some new ones. This is at the VERY top of my favorite books pile. I am definitely reading along with you all one this one. ~Michelle

This highly addictive paranormal romance series with a sprinkling of humor is a must read. Kerrelyn Sparks paranormal world parallels our own without notice. The majority of the series revolves around Romatech Industries, run by Roman Draganesti the creator of synthetic blood. The majority of the vampire world is grateful for the simplicity, though the malcontents would prefer that vampires stick to the standard diet of human blood. Needless to say there is conflict, strife and the general distaste for one another's life style. It is not all battles in this series though. There is a lot of humor, very likable characters and beautifully written romances.

House of Night by P.C. & Kristin Cast

The November Challenge read. Sorry I will not be rereading these. However I encourage you to check them out for yourselves and make a decision of your own. Without further a due, my review of the House of Night Series by P.C. & Kristin Cast.

Marked ~V^^V

Most likely this book was WAY too young for me. The story seemed interesting enough. Zoey is Marked to become a vampire. Which in a way is a great escape from her horrible home life. However she is nervous and unsure about making the move to the House of Night. This book is an introduction to the series and really only covers a few weeks of Zoey's new life. She tries to fit it, meeting new friends and making new enemies. I can say that this book was OK, again it is most likely too young for me....more Most likely this book was WAY too young for me. The story seemed interesting enough. Zoey is Marked to become a vampire. Which in a way is a great escape from her horrible home life. However she is nervous and unsure about making the move to the House of Night. This book is an introduction to the series and really only covers a few weeks of Zoey's new life. She tries to fit it, meeting new friends and making new enemies. I can say that this book was OK, again it is most likely too young for me. The time frame of the story was short and not a lot happened. Though one can't expect too much in just a few days. 

Betrayed ~V^^^V

The second book in the House of Night series was a lot more interesting than the previous. The first book being an introduction didn't have a whole lot of umph. This one however had some serious drama. Zoe is the newest leader of the Dark Brothers and Sisters and this is only one of the issues she faces. Someone is killing teens and the school is under suspicion. She may have imprinted on her human ex-boyfriend, she has a new fledgling boyfriend and the hots for a Vampire. Well. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Where as Betrayed had me crying, Chosen had me infuriated. Zoey has made no progress in maturing, unless you count loosing your virginity and that was NOT mature. The whole scene disgusted me. I was also very bothered my Zoey's inability to just dump Heath and stop and letting him manipulate her with blood. Anyway I was glad there was a bit of a plot to this book and that being Stevie Rae's continued existence. I was also please to see that Aph...more Well. What can I say that hasn't already been said? What made me like this House of Night story was that Zoey finally had to deal with some of the consequences of her actions. In the previous books she had two boyfriends, failed to choose between the two and slept with a professor. That alone was enough to make me think these authors should be slapped. So she got caught and broke her imprinting. But that wasn't all, she also kept some major secrets from her friends. In this story, Zoey has to face those same friends and boys. I am pretty tired of Zoey being the ONLY one who can save the day, if she manages to pull her head out long enough. She needs to quit hooking up with any boy who looks her way and start to grow up. I know this is still only a few months into her new life but one should learn from these major life experience buy now. My other issue is with every other damn new character dieing. I am sorry but this story, as in the whole series, is just moving either too slowly or too stupidly. Only a handful of fledglings have enough sense to see through Neferet's lies? Burned ~V^^V

I was happy to read a book that didn't involve Zoey whining for a few hundred pages. Sadly instead it was a book where Stevie Ray whined for a couple hundred pages. Honestly I don't see this series going anywhere. It just seems to be the same thing over and over again. The language is repetitive, the story is repetitive and though the story teller changes their view is pretty much the same as everyone else. I really feel like the authors are just filling a page requirement of their publisher. I...more I was happy to read a book that didn't involve Zoey whining for a few hundred pages. The stories are ridiculously slow and the characters, apart from a scant few who are still alive are just plain annoying. Par for the House of Night course, not a lot of time passes in this book. I think to date, 9 books in, we have managed to have a couple months pass only. So of course no one has really grown up but clearly they are all hopping into the bed with one another. Neferet is still getting away with murder and not one adult is any the wiser. My main issue is that while the authors seemed to have tried to get me to feel like Zoey was heartbroken over the death of her mother, I just didn't believe it. Honestly this series is a forgettable mess. In conclusion, I have found this book to be nothing extraordinary and I am glad to say that I am caught up to date with the series and can take a LONG break.

Dragon's Oath ~V^^V

This was a bit of a nice change from the normal House of Night story. Zoey whining and the normal teenage bologna was not in this one so that helped. There was the usual amount of repetition and ridiculous chanting. I am so over this series, if I can just get through one more full book and one more novella then I can be done forever.

Lenobia's Vow ~V^^^V

I actually liked this one! Shocking. I think the story being so completely different and set in an area that I am at least fictionally familiar with made it possible. Lenobia is about the only about the only likable character left in the series and her back story was fun. I think the length of the story helped as well. ~Michelle

If you are a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, I think you will like this series as well. Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed is a race of alien “vampires”, who have bred with human women since ancient times, causing their race to be watered down enough to not be too dangerous. However a new evil wants control and will stop at nothing to win. Riveting stories told with just the right amount of danger, sex and love.

Damn near impossible to put down! So much action, so many intriguing developments, ugh I can't wait for the next one! OK details, hmmmm. Well we get to meet the new Fox shifter and then some. :-O The relationship between Hawke and his animal is just the tip of the iceberg. It was emotional ride. Feral Warriors Book 5 ~Hunger Untamed by Pamela Palmer ~V^^^^V

I didn't like this one quite as much as some of the others but I think that was just because I was having a little difficulty following the linas. It was a little odd but I think I may have come across them in a previous novella. Anyway Kougar and Ariana, Queen of the linas, have a history that left them both heartbroken. The journey back to each other is fraught with pain, sadness, anger and of course evil. In the end is a wonderfully tragic story that will keep you engrossed and turning the pages. ~Michelle

Feral Warriors Book 4- Rapture Untamed by Pamela Palmer V^^^^V

This might come off harsh but here goes. This is pretty much a Feral Warriors version of Zsadist from Black Dagger Brotherhood. If you loved Z, then you will like Jag. If you aren't a huge Z fan then you will most likely not really give a hoot about this book. I have read plenty of reviews that said Jag was an ass, I never got that. Perhaps I am just familiar with the story and assumed it was justifiable. To be honest though he never came off cruel in my eyes. *shrug* This story was a kinky, quick read. The characters were both interesting and I figure they deserved one another. For me these "troubled" alpha stories can be shortened a lot by avoiding dragging on and on and on, the misunderstandings, this book was a fast enough read that I didn't have that problem. ~Michelle

Passion Untamed by Pamela Palmer Reviewed

Feral Warriors Book 3- Passion Untamed by Pamela Palmer~ V^^^^V

Paenther's turn and he starts out in quite the predicament. Captured and tortured by a Mage, he has nothing but hatred for them. However Palmer seemed to think that would make him a perfect pair for, you guessed it, a Mage. This book was intense, there were many emotional issues for Paenther to deal with. Skye also has her own set of issues. She seems to mousy for Paenther or perhaps she is the perfect match to his intense persona.

On a side note, if I read one more review of people complaining about character names and saying that they are "cheesy" or ridiculous because a letter was added to the name; I WILL SCREAM! Seriously coming up with names is not that easy and if you are only interested in all your characters being named; Bob, Jim, John and Joe then QUIT READING PARANORMAL GENRE.

Hmmm, well I was really wanting things to work out for Tighe after the first book so I was excited to read him next. Not to mention the whole cliff hanger situation at the end of the last book. Delany was pretty good, I mean some overly aggressive "I can do it all myself" women annoy me. That said she wasn't too bad and the relationship was entertaining to read, I was also interested to see how Pamela would handle the "human vs feral". Again I will tell you this is one of my favorite erotic paranormal romance series. It hooks you right in and before you know it the book is done. How did that happen? ~Michelle

I was roughly familiar with the storyline of this series from reading an Anthology with a Feral Warriors novella in it. Obviously it warranted father review. So what can I say about this first book? Well it adequately set up the "world" and story without being too tedious. The characters are well written and obviously balance a line between good and evil (or is it good and feral?) that leaves things not as cut and dry as one would expect. I enjoyed this book quite a bit and recommend you get reading. ~Michelle
