Light Dragons by Katie MacAlister
Light Dragons by Katie MacAlister ~V^^^^V
The Light Dragons series is the newest in Katie MacAlister's dragon books. Ysolde de Bouchier is a woman with a past she can not recall, or can she? She has vivid dreams of a past life and a whole lot of dragons telling her she is one as well. Now to sort out the facts for herself. I loved the first book in the series and as soon as I finish up the Silver dragon series am going to read the second in this series as well. I found it humorous yet with a series tone and characters you want to love. Not to mention some of the characters you will remember from Aisling Grey series and the Silver Dragons. ~Michelle

May Northcott has been charged with stealing an immensely important relic of all dragonkin from wyvern of the silver dragons, Gabriel Tauhou. Soon she finds out how hard it is to steal treasure from a dragon. Especially when that dragon knows that she is his mate. Again I really enjoyed this series, it fits well after the Ailsing Grey series and with added enjoyment of already knowing the language, beings and some of these characters specifically. Not to mention that there is the added benefit of seeing where life has taken, Aisling, Jim and Drake now.~Michelle

Aisling Grey Guardian by Katie MacAlister ~V^^^^V
Aisling Grey had no idea she was a Guardian, in fact she didn't even know what a Guardian was but apparently she is one. Now she has a whole lot to learn about the otherworld. I LOVED this series though sometimes I wanted to slap Aisling, but such is life. Jim is a riot, Drake is a typical frustrating man and Aisling is just trying to hang in there. I really like that this series leads into the Silver Dragon Series which leads into the Light Dragons, making it so you can constantly keep up with the characters even after their own book's. ~Michelle

Vegas Vampires by Erin McCarthy
What can be more fun than Las Vegas? Las Vegas with vampires silly. This series is complete so once you track them all down you won't have to wait for more. ;-) This was a little off the normal beaten path for me and I liked that. Vegas Vampires had a little different look on vampire culture but still some of the standards that make them fun. Now mind you only 4 of the stories are whole books, the other 3 are novellas. Those can be found in the anthologies First Blood and Out of the Light and into the Shadows.
Vegas Vampires- Erin McCarthy ~ V^^^V
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so why not Vampires too? Erin McCarthy’s Vegas Vampires series takes it one step farther. Casino owner, and Vampire, Ethan Carrick is running for re-election as Vampire President. In this series we meet his political team, friends, casino employees, enemies and more. A quick read with a captivating plot, memorable characters and light enough to be fun.

Monday Spotlight!
Vampire Queen Betsy by Maryjanice Davidson
Now mainly I love this series because the author is local and the setting is local. I am constantly amused by references that I can relate to and go to. That said I am also repeatedly amused and aghast by Betsy Taylor. Seriously this vampire series doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest and sometimes that's all I want to read. The newest in this continuing saga is due out early July and I for one will be waiting to see if Betsy redeems herself. ;-)
Undead by Maryjanice Davidson~ V^^^^V
Did you know there were vampires in Minnesota? Neither did Betsy Taylor. Newly unemployed secretary, still single Betsy is flattened by a small SUV. Wakes to find herself in a tacky coffin wearing cheap knock-off shoes, the NERVE of some people. Now she is the Queen of the vampires with the pervert Eric Sinclair as her co-ruler? As told by Betsy, you will see how no one seems to understand the importance of a great pair of $300 shoes. This series is laugh out loud funny.

Me, Myself, and Why? Reviewed
Well, what to say? To be honest, I grabbed this book just because I LOVE Maryjanice Davidson, she is a local author for me and I like reading about local sights. So going into this all I had for a point of reference was "Outta the Bag" a prequel, freebie Nook book. And at that I was lost, but what the hell let's just go for it. Now as Cadence is one of a Triad of Multiple personalities I found the story, at least in the begginging, a bit hard to follow. After a bit I started to get the flow and was finding that I liked all the personalities for their own individual reasons. But on to the plot, I find the premise, though unlikely still a interesting concept and the story itself did move along believably. In the end I was as surprised as the next reader as to whom the Threefer Killer was and enjoyed the search. So what can I tell you as a reader? I would say go ahead and give it a try. Not to serious, not to light and memorable as can be once the story is done. ~ Michelle V^^^V

Nice Girls By Molly Harper ~ V^^^^^V
Undoubtedly one of the funniest, if not THE funniest Vampire series out there. Follow Jane Jameson through the worse day of her life ending in, of course death. Jane wakes up a vampire and has a whole lot to learn. This series is set in modern day Kentucky, where the vampires are out of the closet, as they say. Stumble along with Jane as she learns how to live as a vampire, meets an interesting cast of characters all the while dealing with an over bearing mother, lack of job and someone is out to get her? Laugh out loud humor that will have you annoying your friends with quotes.
Book 4 has been announced more info forthcoming.
